North Coast Bank was founded by a group of prominent local business people in 1990 as Windsor Oaks National Bank. The first branch located in downtown Windsor, opened for business in October of 1990. The bank then expanded to Healdsburg in 1993. We changed the name to North Coast Bank in 1997 to better reflect our strong relationships with business and agriculture throughout all of Sonoma County. In early 1999, we expanded again, opening a new office in downtown Santa Rosa, where we also relocated the Bank's Administration. In October 2000, North Coast Bank merged into American River Holdings, parent company of American River Bank in Sacramento. In January 2004, North Coast Bank became a division of American River Bank in order to expand our clients' financial horizons. Our focus remains on excellent customer service and personalized banking services. We specialize in custom products for small businesses including vineyard and other agricultural businesses. Although our Bank always keeps abreast of new technology by offering products such as Internet Banking, electronic bill paying and electronic generation of other banking transactions, our goal is to remain visible and available to all of our clients. We strongly feel that close, personal relationships with our clients can never be replaced by electronic commerce North Coast Bank is extremely proud to support our community by participating in endeavors to preserve our local heritage and support the arts and non-profit organizations of Sonoma County. Our employees volunteer with dozens of community organizations and North Coast Bank is a regular contributor to the health of our community through donations to the Salvation Army, Toys for Tots, Boys & Girls Clubs, the Volunteer Center of Sonoma County, the United Way and Pros for Youth--a remarkable program that links professional athletes with at-risk children.
