The branch in Grant, Alabama continues to operate as a traditional bank under the name "People's State Bank." January 5, 2000: Nexity Bank receives approval from the FDIC to commence Internet Banking operations and begins operations from its Birmingham, Alabama office. February 22, 2000: Nexity Bank begins Internet operations. June 30, 2002: Nexity Financial Corporation concluded its fourth consecutive quarter of profitability.
